Ahahaha, yes, I came across omona and saw that post, so from reading the comments, I searched cap tag on tumblr and stunned by the amount of apologists there. I actually understand this issue and why there are some negative reactions to this.
This isn’t about how his thought on disciplinary is flawed, but this has touched the misogynist side of some people. C.A.P. said he’d give good privilege for his son but he’d hit his daughter because that’s the way he’d teach his children discipline. That’s sexist comment right there. I don’t buy cultural defense because abuse is abuse in every language and country IMO. Not to mention Teen Top’s members were also shocked at C.A.P.’s answer, at least to me as a watcher?
I think there are many reasons why Korea hasn’t made fuss of it. I didn’t search for Teen Top news in naver, daum, osen, newsen, etc so I don’t really know the reaction from Korean public or has there been any public community board’s reaction to this; but generally the interview didn’t come from publicly broadcasted show (it didn’t get broadcasted from 3 biggest broadcast stations in Korea but from cable channel), so it’s harder for public to notice.
As to why it hasn’t come to allkpop yet, aside from the absence of news, I think it’s because even there is news, it’s not high-rated news, or it didn’t make any big controversy/only some netizens were arguing about it. Again, this is only assumption.
